## What happens in episode 1 of Whatever Your Stepmom Says?

Dad's parting instruction before a work trip is short: she is in charge, and whatever your stepmom says, you do. The son points out that his stepmom is twenty-two and that his father has just handed her the keys. Ava, red-haired and freckled, makes him repeat it.

Her rules come in a numbered list. One, his phone stays in the kitchen. Two, he knocks before entering her room. Three, she will tell him later. She adds that his father usually holds her legs when she stretches, so he can come and do that, and it was not a question. The episode ends with him walking past her door without knocking, a glimpse of black underwear in the mirror, and the realisation that she saw him.

The episode 2 poster is shot from the floor: her bare legs and a fallen silk slip, the son looking up. Rule three has arrived.
