What happens in episode 1 of Forgive Me, Father?
Forgive Me, Father opens as the new priest stands at the church door after his first service, shaking hands with a congregation that seems to adore him. Mika, a young woman in a white dress with a black ribbon, thanks him for the sermon, especially the part about resisting temptation, and the way she says it makes him lose his place.
Later the episode moves inside: a stone nave with a single shaft of light, candles, a rosary wound through the priest's fingers. Mika kneels in the confessional and starts the formula, then names her sin, impure thoughts about her new priest. The cold open hints where this goes, with Mika whispering for him to tell her to stop. The look is moody and slow, and the guilt is half the appeal.
Episode 2's poster shows Mika lying back in low amber light, a dark beaded necklace on her collarbone. The confession has not ended in the booth.
