What happens in episode 1 of Room 742?
After twelve hours of travel her key card works, the door to 742 swings open, and there is a man inside a room that was supposedly hers. She calls the front desk from the bedside phone while he stands there, and the answer is the worst possible one: no other room, nothing at all, until morning.
So she makes a decision. She has been travelling since five, she is going to change, and he should stop being weird about it. The camera watches from the doorway as she complains about being quiet out there, pulls off the blue top and works through her day out loud. The final frame is her looking straight at him from the floor with a question about whether he plans to stand there all night.
