What happens in episode 1 of The Open House?
In The Open House, Ben and Emily, married two years, are touring what Emily is sure is the one: big windows, lots of light, a huge kitchen. She heads off to measure it, and the estate agent, blonde, white blouse open over red lace, offers to show her husband the bedrooms upstairs.
The tour turns into a sales pitch of a different kind. She tells Ben he can look, everyone does, asks how long they have been married and concludes that the honeymoon is over. Emily calls up from downstairs; the agent points out a door that locks and a room she only shows the husband. The episode ends with her inviting him to try out the bed, while the sound of a tape measure drifts up the stairwell.
